I split the pilot into 2 parts, as that’s how it was aired. Some people may think of it as one episode but that’s not how I’m doing this. So far I’ve got over 1500 High Def captures of Julie uploaded into the gallery.

Winter TCA Portraits

After a small but much needed hiatus Benzly Intent is OFFICIALLY back! I realize we’ve got a lot to do and catch up on in terms of Julie news, media and photos, and we’ve also got Defiance starting right away (April 15th on Syfy!). So while we catch up on what we’ve missed I’m letting you all know I’ll be staying on top of the weekly HD captures once Defiance begins so you’ll never be Julie-less once Defiance hits the screen.

In the meantime I’ve got some stunning HQ Winter TCA Portraits of Julie (and her equally stunning co-star Grant Bowler) now uploaded to the gallery. A big thanks to http://jennifer-l.com/ for the photos.

We’re also hoping to get some new layouts for both the front page and the gallery to help celebrate the new year.

Cameras ready to roll on ‘Defiance’

Syfy says it plans to start shooting its new show “Defiance,” starring Grant Bowler and Julie Benz, in Toronto this week.

A pilot for the series was taped in the spring. Production on the rest of the first season is scheduled to start Tuesday.

The show will also star Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Graham Greene, Mia Kirshner and Fionnula Flanagan.

“An unprecedented partnership between Syfy and Trion Worlds, ‘Defiance’ is the first-ever convergence of television and Massive Multiplayer Online gaming, featuring an interconnected world and story-lines that will co-exist throughout a scripted drama series and a multi-platform MMO shooter,” a synopsis said.

Both the series and the game are to debut simultaneously in April.

The action takes place in the near future as seven unique alien races arrive on Earth and natives and newcomers must learn to co-exist peacefully.

Defiance Heads to Comic Con!

Comic Con is just weeks away and with a flood of panel, star and party announcements fans have flocked to the web to see if their favorite shows and films will be getting a spot at the yearly coveted event.

Well now I can confirm that Defiance is indeed getting a spot and Julie is listed on Comic-Con.org’s guest list! While everyone going has a super busy schedule ahead of them I am making it a personal goal to get to the Defiance panel and to take tons of Julie photos! So fingers crossed.

The Defiance panel is scheduled for Friday, July 13th at 6:45-7:45pm in Room 6DE.
